MAICHE
Son of an optician, Pierre specialized in optics from his adolescence. He will receive from his father the passion and unique, artisanal know-how in the manufacture of glasses.
Frédéric
BEAUSOLEIL
Passionate about optics, Frédéric wishes to develop his own designer brand, which will then bear his name, Frédéric BEAUSOLEIL.
The Workshop
In the heart of a historic site
Our workshop is located at Chantiers de l’Esclain, a historic site in the heart of Nantes which has marked the history of shipbuilding since 1841. Since 1990, it houses our eyewear manufacturing activity, merging craftsmanship and technology.
The first BEAUSOLEIL collections made it possible to perfect the workshop and train the first employees. A few months later, renowned creators such as New Yorker Robert Marc have requested our services for the manufacture in France of their collections of sunglasses and optical glasses in cellulose acetate.
For more than 30 years, our distinctive know-how, the recognized quality of our frames and our commitment to all our partners have illustrated the feasibility of the manufacturing in France, by combining creativity and competitiveness in a constantly evolving global market.
